Timhotel Paris Gare De L'Est

The accommodation is located at 2 minutes from the Gare de l'Este, with metro station and public bike rental etc. The single room, with separate bathroom (overhead and hand shower) and toilet, is small but sufficient for one person as sleeping accommodation. Bathroom and WC are equipped with the latest technology and kept very clean. The bed is equipped with a firm comfortable mattress and a dessert lamp with additional reading light. Next to the bed there is a small desk including a table lamp. In the open cupboard area there are sufficient compartments for filing and coat hangers as well as a large cupboard safe to store e.g. documents (DIN A4) or even a large camera. The windows facing the street are equipped with double glazing (heat, cold, sound insulation). The breakfast buffet is sufficiently and very tasty equipped with fresh croissants, baguette, toast, scrambled eggs, yogurt, muesli, fruit juices, fruits, various coffee preparations (automat) etc.

A floor covering with laminate instead of carpet would be recommended for hygienic reasons. Also, equipping the room door, e.g. with rubber lips (door frame, floor) could improve the sound insulation compared to the corridor.

Breakfast was wonderful. It was pretty much everything your heart desires. So fresh fruit salad, small crepes, fresh yoghurt, good cheese, ham, good coffee and not to forget the scrambled eggs with bacon. One goes well prepared into the exhausting day as a tourist. One could put the suitcases in the hotel before checking in - also after checking out until the final departure. The location of the hotel is quite good: one is right at the Canal and there are really nice restaurants and bars nearby or in front of it. Also, one is immediately in the subway, the station or at the bus and despite of everything, it was very quiet !

There is no clob brush in the rooms. Our faucet was damaged: speak rather wobbly. The function was not limited by this, but it is not possible. Also the ventilation in the bathroom was on permanent ventilation: day and night it ventilated. Construction design error: the shower is narrow and the functions of the shower take a lot of getting used to, as it is difficult to regulate. There were bad smells that we could not explain where they came from. Paint the exhaust air from the kitchen? on the 5th floor? With my daughter the exhaust air in the bathroom did not go at all. The thing that annoyed me the most.

The room was one flight up a very narrow staircase, with no lift available. The room itself was very small, with a lot of the space being a narrow corridor. The bottom of the bed was just 15 inches from the wall . The facilities for storing/hanging clothes was wholly inadequate. Overall a very poor hotel, which failed to live up to it's billing

The room was very clean and comfortable, despite being quite small. The street was quiet. Breakfast was also good. The girl working reception was very nice and helpful. I was also able to leave my luggage in the hotel for the whole day.

The staff were a great help and freindly. Any request were responded to immediately and pleasantly. The hotel is well located away from the main traffic of the station, and made it quitter than most hotels around the area.

We were a group of 7 and stayed in 2 double rooms and one triple room. The rooms are reasonably big, we have more than enough space to move around. The amenities provided in the bathroom are of very good qualities - Yves Rocher. This is definitely a hotel we will be most willing to go back and stay - very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room. Very convenient to move around Paris as it is within 5 minutes walking distance to Gare de I'est train station. There are also small supermarkets and many restaurants around the hotel.

The friendly staff helped me plan my days, and the proximity to public transport made exploring easy. While the rooms are a bit cozy and lack storage space, the modern furnishings and comfortable beds were nice.

This hotel was conveniently located for someone spending a couple days in Paris. Close to main train stations and the Metro. So is an excellent hotel for travel/transition getting around easily in Paris. The hotel is clean and the staff is very attentive. Good value.

The hotel was fairly clean and the location was marvellous and amazing close to train station which was good. The breakfast was nice and sensational at the going rate, thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very polite and everything was good.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. I arrived early in the morning from an overnight flight from Africa and was very tired. The receptionist allowed me to check in early so I could rest. This made all the difference in my weekend in Paris. Very nice!
